Autumn at arlFOUR.com

Life always takes care of itself. The seasons in a forest come and go, each with their own breathtaking beauty, each with their own adventures to be had. Behind all of this change is the single desire to keep the forest alive.

This time of year nature battens down the hatches and does what it must to regroup during the dangerously long and bitterly cold months ahead. All of the players come to share in the duties, starting with the trees themselves shedding their leaves. The leaves provide the groundwork for forest animals to make warm little beds, and come spring, they are the staple from which the depleted soil regains its nutritious vitality.

The colors are what define autumn most of all. The fading yellowish green of one tree as it sits next to another that glows of bright orange or red. Autumn is a time for adventure, a time to get outside and enjoy the last of the good days before winter takes hold. It's a time to reflect and appreciate the glorious year that soon will be past. Save the celebrations and the new beginnings for spring, this is the harbinger of a long slumber that leads to another adventurous year.
